After a very competitive application process which attracted some very high caliber candidates, we would like to announce the three applicants who were awarded the HEMS electives 2021: The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS) elective has been awarded to Paul Mogey. And the two elective positions available with the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT) have been awarded to Oliver Sims, and Shannon Bernard Healy.
The next Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care Annual General Meeting will take place on 10 November 2020. The meeting will be held via videoconference.
For some years audits of police PRFs have suggested that a more standardised PRF linked more closely to treatment protocols and made as user friendly as possible would both improve data capture and make audits from various units more comparable. Two recent audits brought this question to the fore again and the authors took the opportunity to work to produce a suitable document.
This post would suit a doctor with experience in prehospital medicine and/ or emergency medicine (either as trainee, or senior), or BASICS Scotland doctor. They are looking for someone who would like (or has!) experience of lifeboat and diving medicine and its logistics and who can support the crew with best clinical practice and in clinical governance.
