The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care have decided to create a blog where members of the pre-hospital community can write about their experiences and research. You do not need to be a member to post a blog though we would hope that you might consider becoming one!
Providing Specialist police officers with early lifesaving medical skills has occurred over the last decade and is subject to individual case audit, which demonstrated the need for the safe provision of analgesia. This study reports the use of Methoxyfluorane (Penthrox™) by non-registered providers and demonstrates its effectiveness in providing quality pain relief.
The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care has taken the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming Crowd Doctor & Practitioner Course, due to take place in September 2020. We will release the dates for the next course as soon as these arrangements have been made. Practitioners who may have been planning to renew their qualification this year should apply for a ‘letter of comfort’ for employment purposes to the faculty office.
This Audit is a retrospective review of 298 Patient Report Forms from 2019 from five police forces covering a mixture of metropolitan and semi-rural areas.
