In light of the revised PHEM curriculum now in use since August 2022, we are reviewing the eligibility criteria for the FIMC examination for non-PHEM trainee practitioners, as well as the eligibility criteria for consultant (level 8) practitioner registration, to ensure that these align for all practitioners equitably. As a result, we are putting a short pause on both applications.
An exciting opportunity have arisen to become an elected Member of the Faculty Advisory Board. Elected Members have the opportunity to drive forward the pre-hospital care agenda and have a meaningful input into shaping the strategy of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care. The Faculty has arranged with The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS), the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT) and the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) for successful medical student applicants to spend a 4-week elective experiencing a HEMS based PHEM system. The decision will be made and the successful applicant notified no later than Monday 31 October 2022.
