Applications for endorsement of courses are approved at the discretion of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care.
Step by step process to course endorsement:
In addition to endorsing the course the Faculty can provide certificates of attendance (either hard copy or electronically) and core material manuals as required. These are payable on a per person, per course basis.
Terms and Conditions of Endorsement
Endorsement of a course by the Faculty is a mark of educational quality. It is only granted after thorough scrutiny and can be removed if a course fails to continue to meet course endorsement requirements and standards set by the Faculty. In order to maintain this high standard, providers are required to agree to adhere to the Terms and Conditions and only use the Faculty Logo for courses which have been endorsed.
Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) Skills Framework
The Faculty developed the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) Skills Framework to provide greater understanding of the clinical skills/competencies of the different pre-hospital care providers attending an incident. These levels have been designed specifically for the purpose of facilitating effective inter-agency working on scene and are not related to educational attainment or Skills for Health Levels. As part of the endorsement application process, providers are required to map their courses to the PHEM Skills Framework in order to assist course participants understand the level of skills training they are obtaining.
