Application Information

Please take a moment to carefully read through all the Application Guidelines and Regulations Documents on this page before completing the Faculty Accreditation Application Form. 

Applications can be sent in at any time. They will usually be dealt with within 3 months of receipt of the completed paperwork

Guidance for Applicants with GMC Sub-Specialty Registration

Practitioners who have been awarded GMC sub-specialty registration in PHEM can apply to have their names added to the Faculty Accreditation Register via They must be a Level 8 Elected Fellow of the Faculty of Pre-hospital Care in good standing and be able to evidence their professional registration and license to practice. Application Guidelines

Please Note: Faculty Accreditation does not automatically mean that Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine will be added as an approved sub-specialty on the GMC Register. This is a separate application process (see that would be supported by Faculty Accreditation. 

Applicants should ensure that their applications are aligned to all of the current Faculty Regulations. We particularly remind applicants to make sure they stick to the described format for case studies (title page with all relevant information, word count, etc.). 

The Faculty can only accept applications submitted  in both electronic and professionally bound hard copy formats to the specification outlined in the regulations. 

Applicants should contact the Faculty Office at to request a secure filedrop link to submit the electronic part of their application if it is too large to email. (Please note that the use of DropBox or other non-RCSEd file-sharing platforms is not permissible.)

Applications will only be accepted from members in good standing with the Faculty.   

Applications will only be reviewed after payment has been made.

Payments can be made over the phone, please email with your application form and the office will supply you with the details of payment and the phone number to call.


Upcoming System Maintenance & Network Disruption
