The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care is inviting applications for the voluntary role of Conference Lead. The Conference Lead will provide strategic and operational leadership for the development, planning and delivery of the Faculty’s Conference. Working closely with the Conference Committee, Faculty staff, the Faculty Executive Committee and external partners, the successful applicant will help ensure that the conference reflects the Faculty’s strategic priorities and provides a high-quality educational experience for delegates. The role will include chairing the Conference Planning Group, developing the conference theme and programme, identifying potential speakers and working with Faculty staff on timelines, budgets, sponsorship opportunities and operational arrangements. The Conference Lead will also support collaboration with professional bodies and partner organisations and help evaluate the conference to inform future development. Applicants must be members of the Faculty in good standing and should have experience within pre-hospital emergency medicine. They should also demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, communication and collaborative-working skills. Previous experience of conference leadership, programme development or chairing a committee or working group would be advantageous. This is a voluntary appointment for a three-year term. The time commitment will vary throughout the year and will increase during the months leading up to the conference.
