The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC) is seeking a committed Event Healthcare Lead to chair a new Task and Finish Group focused on advancing standards, regulation, and best practice in event healthcare.
This Group will bring together leading organisations to provide coordinated advice, advocacy, and guidance on policy and practice. The role will help ensure the Faculty’s expertise informs national developments, including the Event Healthcare Standard and Martyn’s Law, and that FPHC continues to be recognised as a credible, expert voice in this field.
Working with the Faculties Team, the Lead will oversee the delivery of practical outputs such as Faculty guidance, a new online resource hub, and engagement activity that enhances professional collaboration and patient safety.
We are seeking a Faculty member with recognised experience and credibility in event or pre-hospital healthcare, and a clear understanding of the wider professional and regulatory landscape. You will bring a collaborative and inclusive leadership style, capable of chairing a multi-professional group and building consensus across organisations.
You will have the judgement and professionalism to represent the Faculty effectively within College governance structures, and the ability to translate complex policy and regulation into clear, practical guidance for clinicians and providers. Strong communication skills, strategic awareness, and a commitment to delivering agreed outputs within defined timescales are essential to success in this role.
We are looking for a Faculty member who:
- Has recognised experience in event or pre-hospital healthcare.
- Brings a collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
- Can translate policy and regulation into clear, practical guidance.
- Is confident working across professions and systems to achieve shared goals.
This is a voluntary leadership role. The Group will operate for 12 months from December 2025 to December 2026, meeting every two to three months (primarily online). Administrative support will be provided by the Faculties Team.
Please submit a short expression of interest (maximum one page) outlining your relevant experience and motivation for applying to fphc@rcsed.ac.uk.
Selection will be based on relevant experience, leadership capability, collaborative approach, and understanding of the event healthcare landscape.
