The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care are delighted to again be offering the opportunity for Medical Students to undertake elective placements immersed within the field of Pre-Hospital Care.
Please find below key dates and information related to the application process:
Application to the elective programme will be via a written application form to be emailed to FPHC@rcsed.net before the advertised deadline. This application form will be released to this webpage on Monday 31st August 2026 at 17:00.
Specific information relating to the 2027 HEMS and Facilitated PHEM elective programmes, including available placement dates, will be released over the summer. Information relating to the 2026 Elective Programme remains available on the FPHC website. Please note this is not accurate for 2027 but provides some generalised information about what you could expect from the placements.

Due to essential systems maintenance and upgrades there will be intermittent interruptions to some on-line services on Saturday 27th of February. There will be further interruption to some core services on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd of March.
