The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care are delighted to again be offering the opportunity for Medical Students to undertake elective placements immersed within the field of Pre-Hospital Care.

Please find below key dates and information related to the application process:

• Monday 31st August 2026 at 17:00 – Elective Applications OPEN
• Monday 28th September 2026 at 17:00 – Elective Applications DEADLINE
• Monday 19th October 2026 – Interview Offers Sent Out
• Monday 16th November 2026 – Elective Placement Offers Sent Out

Application to the elective programme will be via a written application form to be emailed to FPHC@rcsed.net before the advertised deadline. This application form will be released to this webpage on Monday 31st August 2026 at 17:00.

Specific information relating to the 2027 HEMS and Facilitated PHEM elective programmes, including available placement dates, will be released over the summer. 

Eligibility Criteria:

•        UK Medical Student
•        Within clinical years of Medical School
•        Permitted to complete an elective placement by university

•        Evidence of your UK Medical Student status and eligibility to undertake the elective
