In an exciting time for the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care, an opportunity has emerged for a Doctor representative to join the Faculty Advisory Board, playing a crucial role in shaping the strategic priorities of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care. The Faculty, dedicated to promoting high standards of pre-hospital care through education, research, and teaching, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Doctor to contribute their expertise.
The role is open to any Doctor member in good standing.
The Faculty Advisory Board is instrumental in guiding the overarching vision of the Faculty, being the platform for collaboration with other agencies and gathering advice that steers its educational, research, and teaching initiatives. The new board member will have the chance to influence the direction of pre-hospital care and represent the interests of Doctors actively involved in this critical field.
The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care emphasises the importance of collaboration among healthcare professionals to enhance pre-hospital care standards. Chair of the Faculty, Dr Pam Hardy explains that ‘the Faculty is eager to further strengthen its advisory board by welcoming a Doctor who can bring their perspective to the table, fostering an inclusive and comprehensive approach to pre-hospital care.’ She continues to discuss the opportunity available as ‘not only a chance for professional growth but also a platform to contribute significantly to the advancement of pre-hospital care practices.’
The elected Doctor will be at the forefront of driving activities that align with the Faculty's mission, ensuring that the strategies implemented resonate with the needs and challenges faced by all those engaged in pre-hospital care. Following a three-year tenure in the role, Dr Caroline Leech benefited enormously, sharing that 'During my tenure I have been able to influence the equality and diversity agenda within PHEM and promote the psychosocial wellbeing of prehospital responders.'
