FPHC Medal 2022 Recipients

We are delighted to announce the recipients of the FPHC 2022 Medal.  The medal panel had a strong group of candidates to review and unanimously agreed that there were two particular individuals that were deserving recipients.

  • Mr David Whitmore – David has gone above and beyond to deliver in various roles for the Faculty spanning over decades. He has held positions as FPHC Co-Vice Chair, Treasurer and Vice Chair of the Training and Standards Committee; however, these positions alone fail to capture the full spectrum of his commitment to pre-hospital care.  He has been pivotal in the development of pre-hospital care within the paramedic profession and the FPHC which makes David a thoroughly deserving recipient of the 2022 FPHC Medal.
  • Dr Tim Nutbeam – Tim’s work has been impactful in regards to the development of research within pre-hospital care.  This is evidenced through his work on the EXIT project.  “The EXIT project work continues with longitudinal studies assessing the impact of new guidance, Faculty consensus guidance, adaptation for Lower and Middle Income Countries and international engagement”.  This patient focused, innovative, sustained and internationally recognised contribution to pre-hospital research and translational into clinical and operational practice makes Tim a deserving recipient of the Faculty Medal 2022.
