Co-Vice Chairs of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care Election

Two exciting opportunities have arisen to become an elected Co-Vice Chair of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (one Doctor and one Non-Doctor position). Elected Members have the opportunity to drive forward the pre-hospital care agenda and have a meaningful input into shaping the strategy of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care. Each will have a place on both the Faculty Advisory Board and the Executive Committee.

 

The Role of the Faculty Co-Vice Chairs

  • To take responsibility for strategy of the FPHC with the other executives.
  • To take responsibility for specific Faculty projects as agreed by the Executive group.
  • To lead or take responsibility for specific Faculty activities, sub-committees or programmes as agreed with the Executive group.
  • To attend the AGM, Faculty Advisory Board (2 annually), Executive Officer (7 annually) and Executive (6 annually) meetings.
  • In the absence of the Chair, Chair the AGM, Faculty Advisory Board (2 annually), Executive Officer (7 annually) and Executive (6 annually) meetings.
  • To represent the Faculty on working groups or external bodies when requested by the Executive group and report back to the Executive group or Faculty Advisory Board.

The Role of the Faculty Advisory Board

The Faculty aims to promote high standards of pre-hospital care through education, research and teaching. The Faculty Advisory Board plays an important role in fulfilling this aim. It does this by shaping the strategic priorities of the Faculty, both nationally and internationally, through the provision of expert opinion and advice. The multi-professional ethos of the Faculty is fully represented within the Advisory Board which has representation from across the full pre-hospital care spectrum.

The Role of the Faculty Executive Committee

The Faculty Executive Committee sets strategy and has overall management responsibility for the Faculty on a day to day basis.

 

Eligibility

To be eligible an individual must: 

  • Be a Fellow / Member of the Faculty in good standing
  • Have a proposer and a seconder who are Faculty Fellows / Members in good standing
  • Be in good standing with the appropriate professional regulator
