For some years audits of police PRFs have suggested that a more standardised PRF linked more closely to treatment protocols and made as user friendly as possible would both improve data capture and make audits from various units more comparable.
Two recent audits brought this question to the fore again and the authors took the opportunity to work to produce a suitable document.
It had significant input from the people at whom it is aimed and we will be auditing whether it achieves what it is intended to.
