Co-Vice Chairs of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care Election

There were no applicants for the Doctor position. Following this the Faculty Office Bearer’s in discussion with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh have agreed to extend the current post holder for a further year (in accordance with FPHC Standing Orders). The Current Co-Vice Chair (Doctor) Dr Pam Hardy, was approached and has agreed to extend for a further year.

There were initially two applicants for the Non Doctor Co-Vice Chair, though one of them subsequently withdrew.  The remaining candidate was thus unopposed and no election is required.

The Faculty would therefore like to congratulate  Mr Paul Gowens on becoming an elected Co-Vice Chair of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (Non-Doctor).

Faculty Advisory Board Member Elections

The Faculty would like to congratulate Mr Chris Shaw and Mr Martin Eccles in their roles of Nurse Representative for the Faculty Advisory Board.  Martin is new to the role, while Chris has been elected for a second term. Martin and Chris ran for their positions unopposed, so these positions did not need to go to ballot.

The positions for the Doctor, Paramedic and Non-Healthcare Professional Representatives have all received enough nominations to go to ballot. It is expected that the electronic ballot will open on the 3rd of August and close on the 27th of August. Once this process has been completed we will inform our members of the chosen representatives.
