'I'm a final year medical student at Leicester University, planning on a career in emergency medicine. The placement is being hosted by the London Ambulance Service and Dr Tom Evens. I've been scheduled to see a huge variety of different parts of the service including ambulance shifts, advanced paramedics, crowd/event medicine at a football stadium, time with the London and Essex/Herts Air Ambulance services and various other units. Dr Hall has also kindly organised some additional opportunities including spending some time with the London Fire Brigade, Royal National Liveboat Institution (RNLI) and observing the armed police medical training.
It's been absolutely brilliant so far and has just been the most incredible opportunity to see so many facets that make up the service in such a huge city.'
