The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care are again pleased to offer support to the Student Wilderness Medicine Conference.
Victoria Simpson President of Liverpool University Medicine Society writes:
"Essentially, the event is as follows - this year, Liverpool is hosting the annual Student wilderness medicine conference (SWMUK) which is a weekend long camping conference passed from university to university each year. It attracts medical students but also other students within the healthcare profession from both the UK and further afield (we have attendants from Portugal, Germany, Denmark and America due). Delegates come for a weekend of networking, talks and workshops in the field of remote/expedition/humanitarian healthcare run by organisations and keynote speakers. We also put on a Ceilidh, catering and other forms of entertainment for delegates besides this being simply an academic conference so that it becomes one that many delegates love and return to every year. Our weekend is running at Tyn Yr Onnen farm in Caernarfon, North Wales, on October 12th-14th with tickets currently priced at £55."
If you can contribute as a speaker or run a workshop Victoria can be contacted via: https://www.swmuk2018.com/
