This programme is aimed at registered healthcare practitioners working or wishing to work in a mountain medicine environment.
The RCSEd Mountain Medicine programme is accredited by the UIAA (International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation) and their associated partners, ISMM (the International Society for Mountain Medicine) and ICAR (the International Commission for Alpine Rescue). Students successfully completing the Certificate year of the programme are also awarded the UIAA\ISMM\ICAR Diploma in Mountain Medicine (DiMM)
The College is an ELCAS Approved Learning Provider in the MoD Enhanced Learning Credit (ELC) Scheme for both the Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma programmes in Mountain Medicine. This means that service men and women in the armed forces will be able to apply for funding towards the cost of these programmes.
