Students' education, training and preparation towards the Diploma culminates at the two day residential held in Edinburgh. Activities include workshop/labs, seminars, and simulated scenario exercises. A formative assessment format is used during the residential and may include a variety of Clinical Case Studies, Laboratory Workshops/Skills Stations, Major Incident Simulation Exercise MISE), Presentations and Panel Interviews.
This award has been established in memory of Fiona Stewart, a long standing tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh online postgraduate programmes in Health Informatics and Remote and Offshore Medicine.
